If you're in the mood for some delicious beef noodles, Mr. Chen Beef Noodle is a fantastic choice. The noodles they serve are truly excellent, providing a satisfying and flavorful dining experience. One of the highlights of Mr. Chen's is their reasonable prices. You can enjoy a tasty and filling meal without breaking the bank, making it a great option for those on a budget. However, one aspect that could use some improvement is the friendliness of the staff. During my visit, I noticed that the staff was not very friendly, and it seemed like they might not enjoy their job very much. Nonetheless, if you're willing to overlook the less-than-friendly staff, the food itself makes Mr. Chen Beef Noodle worth a visit. So, if you're craving some delectable beef noodles and don't mind a bit of a mixed service experience, give Mr. Chen's a try!

My friend and I shared pork and chive dumplings and spicy wontons and they didn’t disappoint. Spicy wontons were very flavorful with the chili paste and I enjoyed every bit of it. I loved the crispiness of the pan fried pork and chive dumplings as they were delicious and not too oily. My other friends had beef noodles and they were quite satisfied with their option. I would say the portion was decent given the price charged. Food was served quick and the servers were attentive too. Would love to come back again to try other items on the menu.

The spicy wonton noodles was amazing! The dumplings and vegetarian spring rolls were just as amazing. Awesome service too - staff were very friendly! Update: visited Mr. Chen's again the second time one year later and ordered calamari and beef noodle soup this time - they were also good!

We tried the newer dishes on the menu. Special sweet and sour flat pork was very flavorful and we received a huge plate for a small price. The shredded pork with garlic sauce was very suited to rice and noodles, and was the perfect blend of many flavors. The salt and pepper tofu was by far the best, with a tender crust and a rich but soft inside. Their XO beef fried rice was also very well made and seasoned. Gluetionous rice cake with brown sugar must try. All dishes were all delicious and affordable.

One of my favourite places to eat in Chinatown, Sydney. Excellent food especially the beef noodle soup which is a classic. Quite a small venue but does cater for medium sized groups if not to busy. Quick service and does BYO which is great. Central location and never disappointed with other food options too.

Loved their mixed noodles with pork mince and wontons. Add some chilli and black vinegar and that is one hearty meal!! It was superbly delish!! Side dishes were nice as well. Soup in noodle soup was flavourable and satisfying. Unfortunately for me by the time I tried the noodles in the soup (Childs leftovers), it was at that stage very soggy and mushy but I’m sure it would have been nice if it didn’t sit for so long. Again my mixed noodles were fab and highly recommended. Pork chop touched the right spot. Be cautious with the deep fried tofu as it’s extremely hot when biting into it. Fried dumplings were average.

Food was amazing! Some of the best! The salt and pepper tofu was by far some of the best we’ve ever had if not the best! The noodles were cooked fresh! The spinach tofu and eggplant was amazing! The sauce was delicious! The onion pancake were also delicious! Will be back!

I used to visit this Chinese restaurant frequently when I lived in Sydney. My go-to dishes were the beef stir-fried noodles and the crispy deep-fried pork belly. I also really enjoyed the spicy wontons—they were delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for tasty Chinese food at a good price in Sydney. You definitely won’t be disappointed. I really miss it!
